FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

At what sulfuric acid concentration do PVC fittings need to be upgraded?

Above 70% concentration, PVC fittings must be upgraded to CPVC, PVDF, or 316SS per Peabody's own guidance, and sulfuric acid tanks are not recommended above 100°F.

What elastomers should be avoided for sodium hydroxide (caustic) service?

Peabody's guidance excludes both Viton and PVDF for NaOH/KOH service — EPDM is the compatible choice — a real double-exclusion distinct from the usual single-material caution seen from other vendors.

How large can a Peabody rotationally molded tank be?

Up to 15,000 gallons in a single molded piece, in materials including HDPE, PPL, and PVDF, for both standard chemical/water storage and custom OEM applications.
